Adopting Wiki

Hi. Your contributions look good and I've given you admin and bureaucrat rights. Good luck with the wiki! -- Wendy (talk)@fandom 05:33, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

What

From Project:Rules:

"JPEG images are not allowed on this wiki and will be deleted."

I see what you're trying to get at, but the way it's implied is that anyone who uploads a JPEG is violating the rules - just because it's a JPEG. True, a file in the PNG format is almost always preferred over JPEG, but in some cases, it may be wiser to upload a JPEG as opposed to a hi-quality PNG. For example, Wikipedia uses JPEGs to comply with fair use copyright laws, where the image is only used for visualisation purposes and encourages people to seek the real, high quality image from the official franchise. - Random-storykeeper (YELL AT IT) 04:15, October 29, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sure you've noticed this but

Troy makes a lot of strange edits, such as an article for the "Fish museum" and tons of unnecessary character pages without content. And just look at this one too: Theme_song. They just edit Splendid Bird of Paradise in images. They also wiped User:Historyfan15's talkpage.

I see you have warned him before. Asking if you can remove a few things as I forgot regular users cannot delete pages or rollback. That's what you get when you are admin on other wiki's, I guess. {{SUBST:User:PepperSupreme/Sig}} 14:53, February 12, 2015 (UTC)

Quack's shoulders

Birds have shoulders; they are part of wings. Quack has shoulders which are shown when he shrugs. He has shoulders so that trivia is false. {{SUBST:User:PepperSupreme/Sig}} 14:55, February 12, 2015 (UTC)

If Peep had a new voice actor...

Hi! I found this voice actor, listened to him, and I thought I could show you! It's lines from a different character, but I thought that voice could fit Peep well! Just find the little icon that has a little fox in it, play the button below it, then hear how the voice goes! Here, I'll bring the page to you. http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Bradley-Pierce/

Hi, ??????! (I don't know what your username is because you don't have a signature.) What you're saying is, "maybe Peep should have the voice of Tails." I've heard Peep's voice sound similar to Miles "Tails" Prower, and I didn't even NOTICE!

Thanks again,

Squishy71

I'm sorry for editing, I really shouldn't post personal opinions on a wiki, but fun edits are cool to come across on a wiki :D

(please don't ban me ;-;)

Like this?

Thank you for not banning me by the way ;w; Smolpupper52 (talk) 23:31, October 4, 2016 (UTC)

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry

That was an accident, I didn't mean to delete anything, I'm still trying to get the hang of all this ^^; I'm sorry about all that.. ;w; I'll also try to be more formal when editing and stuff (which may be a bit hard, since I'm never formal)

Thank you for not banning me after that ;w;

Smolpupper52 (talk) 17:29, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

Wait so am I gonna get banned because I'm with someone of the same biological gender or do you mean I'll get banned if I post something that has to do with people dating who are of the same biological gender? (I'm asking this because of one of the rules)

Smolpupper52 (talk) 06:46, October 6, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry

I forgot my password, that's why I didn't respond, I'm wasting your time, I won't message you anymore after this ;w; Smolpupper52 (talk) 13:02, October 19, 2016 (UTC)

About your message to me

I remember 8 years ago when the Peep website streamed an episode a day. It generally seemed to go by airdate order. I remember "Quack Quack/One Duck Too Many" was episode 10 of season 2, whereas the site makes it seem like it was episode 207, with ""Chirp Sorts it Out (Sort Of)/Hear Here!" "Who Stole the Big Wide World?/M-U-D Spells Trouble", and "Finding Time/Smaller than a Peep" airing after it. Also, it claims "Peep Prints" aired with "Snow Daze" and "Count them out" aired with "Flower Shower", which as far as I know, is not true.

Add to that the fact that the picture at the top of the page illustrates Quack being magenta, and it doesn't seem reliable.

Finally...has it officially ended? It seems wrong that they would just end "Peep" so abruptly. It's clearly a show that a lot of heart was put into, and I'm sure the creators know it has it's fans. Argulor (talk) 01:19, October 24, 2016 (UTC)

Original airdates of the episodes

So I've done a bit of digging and come up with some interesting info.

Through the good old wayback machine, I've looked at the episodes listed on the Peep Website and noticed that by November 25, 2005, season 2 had all episode descriptions up, meaning that by that time it had aired in it's entirety, rather than just half, as was previously supposed.. https://web.archive.org/web/20051125030131/http://www.peepandthebigwideworld.com/about/storyindex.html

Next, all the descriptions of season 3 become available by September 2007; however, none were available a month earlier. Since season 3 is only 10 episodes long, all the episodes could have easily aired in that time. Whether they premiered in that time is a different thing.

Then, on January 7, 2010, ALL of season 4 was listed, whereas none of it had been just four days ago on January 3---not enough time for all of the season to air. My guess is it was all added once the entire season was aired, or simply that the remaining episodes aired soon afterwards. I doubt they would add all the episode descriptions mid-season.

By November 2011, season 5 was up. I know season 5 premiered earlier than that, as a clip from "Two's a Crowd (part 1)" was on Youtube the previous June.

This convinced me that descriptions were included once the entire season was aired. But then, curious, I looked up the descriptions for season 1 back in April 2004. And apparently it had either aired in it's entirety by that point, or the entire season had it's descriptions prematurely.

What's a duck---er, I mean, wiki user to do? Well, according to the episode guide you gave me, six episodes of season 2 didn't air until September 2006. I highly doubt that the website would have descriptions available for the season so far in advance. So my guess is season 1 had aired in it's entirety by April 2004, season 2 by November 2005, and season 4 by January 2010. But that's just my theory. Argulor (talk) 01:50, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

Have you tried to contact the creators of Peep?

I feel the show very much deserves to be brought out of this dreary hiatus it's been on for the last half-deacade. So I recently tried to contact the creators through the "contact us" section of the website. I never heard back and so I tried again. And once more, nothing.

The idea of Peep just ending without anything resembling a series finale saddens me greatly, and I want to do anything I can to convince the creators to bring it back. Have you ever tried doing it? If not, it's a good idea, I think. The more people to convince them to uncancel Peep, the better! Argulor (talk) 05:08, December 17, 2016 (UTC)

More thoughts on the hypothetical future of Peep

I want to believe that Peep still has a future. It is such a good show that I feel it would be a shame if it really was cancelled forever, and at five years since the last episode, it seems likely that is the case. But nothing is for certain yet.

But if there is hope for it, we should probably---and this goes back to my last message---find out what exactly is going on with halting of the show's production. Maybe contacting some of the cast members would be a good idea.

I know I may just sound stubborn, maybe even spoiled, but I simply feel ending the show for good would be a really big mistake.

But again, like you pointed out, it likely goes back to the fact that the show doesn't get a lot of funding. That's where it becomes tricky to help revive the show. Nonetheless, I'm determined to do my part in saving something that may or may not still have a chance. Argulor (talk) 07:18, December 18, 2016 (UTC)

Here's something interesting

On facebook, I got a bit of feedback from the creators of Peep in regards to Peep's future.

From the sounds of it, they don't want it to end either. There's still hope that this could simply be a long hiatus. Argulor (talk) 10:03, December 18, 2016 (UTC)

Facebook peep

Peep's last day on KCTS

If your station hasn't already stopped broadcasting it, I'd like to call to your attention that Peep will be removed from all KCTS stations after 12/31.

https://www.aptonline.org/catalog.nsf/vLinkTitle/PEEP+AND+THE+BIG+WIDE+WORLD+IV+POCOYO , with an

They've actually written,"Please note: The supplier for PEEP AND THE BIG WIDE WORLD/POCOYO will withdraw all current seasons, II, III and IV, from distribution effective December 31, 2016. "

According to WGBH itself, the last episode to air will be "Shadow Play/Quack and the Very Big Rock". http://www.wgbh.org/programs/Peep-and-the-Big-Wide-World-79#top However, the episode I know is your favorite will also reair this weekend. Hopefully you have the WGBH station.

Additionally, according to  [schedule list],, it will end with an airing of "An Inconvinient Tooth". Argulor (talk) 03:20, December 20, 2016 (UTC)

Hey

I'm not ready to hear your thoughts on my first review yet, so if it's okay, can you not look respond to it just yet?

So you thought Fish Jr. was male?

I looked at the history of the page and saw you were shocked to find out she's female. I'm trying to remember if I ever thought otherwise. The first episode I saw her in was actually the first I ever saw,"The Fish Museum" (a favorite of mine), but I only saw the beginning of it. The next one I saw her in was "Mirror, Mirror, In The Dump", the episode that really got me hooked on the series, and I think I've always thought of her as being female since then. Anyways, I really love her, she's so sweet and cute. It's interesting to know she's been mistaken as male though. I've heard Chirp has gotten that and I can see why people would think she looks male but she's always sounded like a girl to me.BirdOfBlueFeathers22 (talk) 02:43, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Rights?

Hello,

I thought it would be more helpful if I had some rights here. I plan to edit here and have great interest in this wiki. Could I have the content moderator right? It would make my editing easier as I could move files, edit protected pages, protect important pages prone to vandalism and much more!

Wiki Adoption

Considering you are inactive and practically retired, I was amplifying the possibilities of me acquiring b-crat rights here. While I'm not as active as I used to be, I envisage a full cleanup to this wiki eventually, some of which may require sysop permissions. I am asking for b-crat rights as you are the only b-crat as of now and you are inactive. Would that be a possibility? — Golfpecks256 [ Talk • Contribs ] 03:21, February 19, 2019 (UTC)

Vandalism

Someone has made a page that is not needed.

Golfpecks256 [ Talk • Contribs ] 02:15, May 30, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks! I've been aware of the vandalism but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I will eventually sit down and clear out the entire mess since it's on a rather big scale now.

Amendments

Would it be possible for me to petition for some amendments to the manual of style? (Assuming changes here are done by consensus.) Also, can you enable message walls please? One thing I'd like to suggest too is that we keep gallery subpages when there's more than ten images in a gallery, and we keep all gallery images on the article page if it has ten images or less. — Golfpecks256 [ Talk • Contribs ] 14:47, June 20, 2019 (UTC)

Follow up

Dear Crystal Shadows,

I took a recess from Wikia for a few months. I would like to substantially elaborate on some things. During my presence here, it was not my intention to try and find a shortcut to administrator privileges and then not commit to this wiki. I've known this series for many, many years and I comprehensively want to help with enhancing the content and templates and improving the standards.

I understand that you may be hesitant to grant admin rights after my tendency to go on unexpected hiatuses. I've gained some interest in Wikia, and I would like to assist this wiki in particular with its improvements so it is more comprehensively 'complete.' I was hoping rights could be granted to help me with my projects here, which I'd of course discuss with you. Since Sysop now seems a long-shot, at least for now, I was wondering whether a commitment of two weeks would be adequate to prove myself worthy of content moderation rights, and then after a few months potentially sysop privileges.

Obviously, whether or not that deal can be confirmed would be your prerogative. I am, however, interested in improving this wiki and helping out any way I can.
