Sounds Like... is the fifth episode of the first season along with the episode Night Light which comes before it. Sounds Like... first aired on April 16th of 2004. The episode is written by Joe Fallon and storyboarded by Gabriel Godoy. Hummingbirds first appear in this episode.

Plot

The episode starts out by showing a close up of Peep. The camera zooms out to show Peep listing to three hummingbirds. Chirp appears and tells Peep, after the hummingbirds finish their song, that a bird flew by singing a beautiful song and that she has copied the song exactly. Chirp warms up to sing the song for Peep but she fails to sing the song correctly because of the hummingbird's humming. Chirp and Peep walk somewhere else and Chirp prepares again. Just as Chirp is about to sing, Quack sings instead from one of the pipes nearby.

Chirp and Peep go looking for another quite place. The first place has noisy wind chimes, the second a hopping frog, and the third a beaver. Finally Chirp finds the perfect place on top of a hill. Chirp prepares and sings the song that is very short. Chirp decides to go home and Peep follows wearily. Instead of going home, the two birds discover a busy street. Chirp despairs but then Peep alerts her to the sound of the beaver that the two birds had heard when they were looking for a quiet place. The two run after the noise and then stop for they can't hear it. A tree falls down between Peep and Chirp and then after the two hear the hopping frog.

The two birds accidentally distracted the frog so that it misses the lily pad it intended to get on.

Frog: Aaagh! You made me miss! I was going for the record!

The frog disappears into the water before the birds can ask directions but they hear the chimes and follow the sound. Near the chimes the birds hear Quack and run to meet him. Quack decides to rest his voice in the pipe and Peep rests with him.The episode ends with Peep sighing for Chirp said that she should have remained in the pipes and sang.
