The episode starts out by showing a close up of [[Newton's tree]]. "It was one of those days," says the narrator as the camera quickly pans down to show [[Newton]] "where Newton spent most of his day sleeping- more or less".<br>

The title depicts [[Newton]] walking on a patch of grass looking at the viewer. On a pale yellow background are the words "Newton's Big Adventure" with "Newton's" in pale teal text placed at the top of the title card over top of "Big Adventure". The words "Big Adventure" are in dark green text with "Big" appearing in large text than "Adventure" and "Newton's" which are coincidentally the same size. Beneath "Newton's Big Adventure", in black text, is "written by Joe Fallon" over top of "storyboard by Gabriela Godoy".
A apple falls from Newton's tree and onto to his head which quickly wakes him up. Newton blinks and then moves to another area a short distance from where he was and then begins to sleep their before another apple falls on his head. Newton gets up and moves to another area and begins to sleep. Another apple comes out of the tree and falls close to where Newton had been sleeping before. The camera cuts to Newton who smiles which abruptly disappears when another apple falls on his head.

The episode starts out by showing a close up of [[Newton's tree]] and pans down to show [[Newton]] sleeping. Apples being to fall on Newton's head and then after they stop falling, [[Peep]] and [[Quack]] run hurriedly to Newton to tell him about their adventures. Peep invites Newton to have adventures with him and Quack, not wanting Newton to join them, pushes Peep hurriedly away. Newton decides to have some adventures of his own and begins to do so by walking away from his tree. Newton discovers dandelions, both in bloom and in seed, and follows one of the dandelion seeds that he accidentally sent flying. While following the seed, Newton suddenly falls into a pool of water but uses a nearby stick to allow himself to paddle to shore.

Newton, while chasing after more dandelion seeds, manages to pin down a dandelion seed and discovers an open [[Cracker box|cracker box]] lying horizontal on the ground. A gust of wind blow the dandelion seed, which Netwon has stepped off, into the box and Newton, after making sure he can get out of the box again, goes after it. Newton manages to retrieve the the dandelion seed but suddenly a gust of wind blows the top flap of the cracker box in, closing the exit and trapping Newton inside. Newton goes to the end of the cracker box and, after seeing the outside through a small gap, forces his head against the back with great effort and is sent flying out.
The camera zooms out and Newton rubs his head. "Newton!" yells a voice off the camera. The camera cuts to show Peep and Quack running up the hill where Newton and his tree are. The camera cuts to show Newton and Peep and Quack quickly run onto the screen. "Newton, you wont believe the adventures we just had" says Peep.<br>

Several [[ants]] come out of a nearby ant hill and move away with one ant staying behind and investigating several objects to see if they are fit for food. Newton calls out to the ant but the ant instead believes Newton's voice came from a pebble and Newton withdraws his head from his shell and appears to the ant and offers the crumbs that clung to him while in the cracker box. The ant accepts and calls the other ants over and Newton tells the ants of more crumbs being in the cracker box and the ants quickly go over to it. After the ants have called out their thanks, Newton realizes the lateness of the day and he must get home which, after straining his neck to find the direction, he sets off towards. Newton finally reaches home and retracts into his shell just as Peep and Quack come along and Quack remarks that Newton is still sleeping. The episode ends with the [[narrator]] telling how Newton is dreaming about his great adventure and the camera zooming out to reveal that the locations Newton went to being very near his tree.
Just about when Newton is going to says that a apple fell on him, Quack impatiently cuts in and guess that a apple fell on Newton. Newton asks Quack how he guessed and Quack looks annoyed. Peep invites Newton to have adventures with him and Quack. Quack stares at Peep in anger and Newton comments on how he doesn't move as fast as the two birds. Quack quickly agrees and pushes Quack away from Newton and quickly walks down the hill. "Your still invited" says Peep as Quack pushes him away "we'll be at the pond".

As Peep and Quack move down the hill, the camera pans right and then cuts to Newton. Newton decides to go have some adventures and begins to walk away from his tree and off the screen. The camera cuts to Newton walking. Newton stops to talk with the narrator about how could he think about something he has never seen before. Instead of answering Newton's question, the narrator tells Newton he won't see anything new unless he keeps moving and Newton begins to walk forward. The camera then cuts to a light blue background and Newton's face slowly moves on to it. Newton gaps and then makes his first discovery. Newton moves off the screen and then the camera cuts to show him moving toward some dandelions that are either in bloom or have produced seeds.

Newton walks up to a dandelion that has produced seed and begins to sniff it. Newton sneezes and the dandelion seeds fly into the air. Newton watches them in amazement and begins to follow one that is close to the ground. Suddenly, Newton falls into a pool of water. Newton begins to splash around trying to get out of the water but then he spots a stick floating nearby. He goes over to it and uses it to get to shore. Newton climbs out of the pool and empties out the water from his shell.

Newton spots the dandelions flying in the air and gasps. Newton begins to follow them and walks of the screen. The camera cuts to a dandelion seed slowly floating downward. Newton's foot presses down on top of it and he rejoices that he caught one. Newton suddenly sees a empty cracker box and lets go of the dandelion. The dandelion is blown by a gust of wind through the cracker box. Newton walks up to the cracker box and stares at the top flap. Newton hits the cracker box's top flap to make sure it wont close and stop him from getting out. Satisfied that the top flap remains where it was, Newton proceeds into the box.

Crumbs stick to Newton's feet and Newton comments the inside of the cracker box is sort of crummy. The expression on Newton's face briefly changes to fear and then he notices the dandelion seed on the floor of the cracker box. Newton grabs it and the rejoices. Suddenly, the wind blows the top flap of the cracker box in so that Newton is trapped. Newton moves to the end of the cracker box and sees outside from a hole in that end. Newton rams his head against the cracker box several times and then it opens.

Newton flies out from the cracker box and quickly retracts into his shell. Newton lands on the ground and from the inside of his shell he sees some ants. A ant comes out of the ant hill looking for food and attempts to eat a pebble and then throws it away and worries that he wont find any food again. Newton asks the ant if he is looking for food and the ant assumes the pebble is talking. The ant rants about how he will be famous and talks to the pebble again. Newton reveals himself and the ant doesn't recognize what Newton is. Newton asks the ant what he is and the ant moves away scared by Newton. Newton tells the ant he is a turtle and offers the ant crumbs he picked up while in the cracker box.

The ant tells the other ants to come over for he has found food. The other ants come over and rejoice over the crumbs. The ant who had attempted to eat the pebble thanks Newton but forgets what he is and Newton reminds him. Newton tells that ants of the box of crumbs and they head off to it. The ant asks Newton if he goes around helping everyone with his knowledge and if he has amazing adventures. Newton blushes and tells the ant he is having some amazing adventures today. Newton realizes the ant is gone and then Newton sees the ant at the cracker box. Newton yells out to the ant that he is a turtle and then realizes the day is ending.

Newton fears that if he doesn't get home before dark he will get lost so he strains his neck to find it. Newton spots it and then heads for it. The image slowly fades of Newton walking and is replaced by Newton walking silhouetted against the slowly sinking sun. The image fades two more times and Newton finally makes it to his tree. Newton collapses on the ground and withdraws into his shell. Quack and Peep come along and Quack comments that Newton has been sleeping all day and hasn't moved. Peep decides he doesn't want to wake him up and will say goodnight to him the next day and he and Quack go away.
 
 
The camera cuts to Newton dreaming about his day inside his shell. and then cuts to the outside again. The camera zooms out and shows all the places Newton had gone and then the image slowly fades away.
