Fish Jr. is a character in Peep and the Big Wide World.
Appearance[]
Fish Jr.'s body is light red, surrounded by a black outline, and oval shaped and it becomes thinner once she faces forward. At the back of Fish Jr.'s body is a pink triangular tale fin that has black lines on it.
On either side of Fish Jr. is two small circular fins that are pink, surrounded by a black outline, and have small black lines on them. On Fish Jr.'s face is two white eyes that have black pupils and are oval shaped. On the top of her head is a jagged fin that, like the rest, is pink, has black lines on it, and is surrounded by a black outline. She has no ears.
Personality[]
Fish Jr. is friendly and curious and also willing to try new things. Her personality is somewhat similar to Peep. She doesn't know a lot of things, such as how fish cannot leave the water. Her grammar is not so great as she once said, "What's a balloons?".
Relationships[]
Friends[]
Other fish - Fish Jr. gets along very well with the other fish and is able to cooperate with them as shown with the Fish Spectacular in The Last Straw. In The Fish Museum, another fish tells her about death, a rarely-approached topic in preschool media, showing that they were close enough that the fish thought it was appropriate.
Quack - As Quack is very close with the fish and enjoys teaching them about ducks, it is the same with Fish Jr., possibly to a further extent, because she is the only fish that isn't named by number. Quack is shown to go to great lengths to support her hobby of adding items to the Fish Museum in its eponymous episode as very heavy objects like a bowling ball and a unicycle were shown to exist there. He also works to bring her dream of seeing the Big Wide World to as close to reality as he can.
Beaver Boy - The fish and Fish Jr. initially don't believe in the existence of beavers but when this is disproved at the end of Wandering Beaver, they are shown to get along very well, both alone and with Quack. The narrator states that they swam and played all day long. Beaver Boy doesn't seem to mind the pond dwellers moving in with him as much as his parents in Dry Duck Part 2. Due to his parents' working nature, these feelings aren't extended to them.
Neutral[]
Peep and Chirp - Even though Peep and Chirp are not inherently mean, they rarely interact with Fish Jr. and the other pond dwellers due to not being able to swim.
Beaver Boy's parents - When Quack and the pond dwellers move into the beaver's family dam, they tolerate it at first but quickly grow tired of it as it disrupts their work flow and Beaver Dad is shown to get no sleep. While they don't want the fish to live with them, they respect their needs and bring the pond back to a near-filled state so they can both get some rest.
Information[]
Fish Jr. is one of the pond fish that live in Quack's Pond and made her debut in the episode Under Duck however, she was unnamed. Fish Jr. is one of Quack's friends and the owner of the fish museum. Because Fish Jr. is the owner of the fish museum, she is very concerned about it. Fish Jr. enjoys listening to the stories Quack has to tell about the world above the pond. Fish Jr., like the rest of the fish, sees everything as wavy and distorted when thrown out of the water.

Major appearances[]
Under Duck[]
Fish Jr. met Quack when he accidentally touched an orange fish. He tried to get her and the rest of the fish to leave, but they said that the pond was their home, and then he wanted them to live in a cup with water, but he agreed at last to let the fish live in his pond. He could teach them about ducks, and they could teach him about fish (but ducks first).
The Fish Museum[]
Fish Jr. wanted to go "Up There", but the orange fish showed her that if she did she'd die. So Fish Jr. has the idea for Quack to bring things from the world above and he and Fish Jr. can start a museum. Quack gets items such as an apple, an acorn, a potato, a book, and a bowling ball. Quack also gets a balloon, but he can't get it to stay underwater, and Fish Jr. tries, she ends up getting propelled into "Up There" for a moment and sees the world. This ends up being the main attraction for the museum.
The Last Straw[]
Fish Jr. was fish mentioned in the episode as the name for a rock when Quack was in his bush. She and the other pond fish were then seen when Quack was revealed to be trying to teach the fish to dance while Chirp was using the straw to spy on him. Later that night the "Fish Extravaganza" is performed by all the fish, including Fish Jr., in Quack's pond. She is last seen dancing again with the other fish as Peep sees her using the straw as a snorkel.
Minor appearances[]
- Mirror, Mirror in the Dump - When Quack returns to his pond in sadness after his mirror broke, Fish Jr. tells him that she still thinks that he's still the most handsomest duck she ever saw.
- Hear Here - Quack holds his concert in his pond at the end of the episode.
- The Tooth, the Whole Tooth, and Nothing but the Tooth - Fish Jr. finds a "hard white thing" that she thought was Beaver Boy's tooth. It was a golf ball.
- The Winter of Quack's Discontent - Quack finds Fish Jr. and the other fish under the ice of his pond.
- Marble Mover - Fish Jr. attempts to carry the marble in her mouth to give to Frog.
